Each train, with a capacity to accommodate 1,000 passengers, promises enhanced urban mobility for Pune residents. Spearheaded by Tata Group and PMRDA, the project aims to elevate Pune's metro system to international standards, with a focus on safety, reliability, and environmental sustainability. Featuring cutting-edge technology such as a third rail traction system and regenerative braking, these trains can achieve speeds of up to 85kmph, ensuring a smooth and eco-friendly commute. With vibrant designs, spacious interiors, and advanced passenger information systems, the trains are tailored to provide an exceptional travel experience. This collaborative effort between the public and private sectors sets a benchmark for metro systems nationwide, embodying the spirit of innovation and progress. As work progresses steadily, Rahul Mahiwal, PMRDA Commissioner assures that the project remains on schedule, with plans to dispatch the remaining trains over the next 6-8 months.
