RailTel Secures Rs 162 mn Haryana Network Management Order

RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a new Rs 162 million (mn) order from Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (HARTRON) to manage the state's communication network infrastructure. The firm informed stock exchanges that it received a work order for an operation and management contract as a managed service provider for the Haryana State Wide Area Network. The contract involves ongoing management and maintenance of the HSWAN network supporting connectivity and communication services for various government departments and offices across the state.

The company stated the project is expected to be completed by 31 December 2027 and that the total order value is Rs 162 mn including taxes. RailTel clarified that the contract was awarded by a domestic government entity and that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding organisation. The firm also confirmed that the transaction does not constitute a related party transaction.

The regulatory filing showed the work order was received on two July 2026 at 12:30 pm, according to the submission to the stock exchanges. The notice further underlined compliance with disclosure norms and specified the operational scope as network monitoring, maintenance, fault management and service assurance for government connectivity. The company will deploy its existing technical teams and regional operations to fulfil the contractual obligations within the stated timeline.

The latest order is expected to strengthen RailTel's presence in government digital infrastructure and managed network services, reinforcing its role in national digital connectivity initiatives. The contract aligns with the company's focus on expanding managed services for public sector networks and delivering resilient communication links for administrative functions. The firm said the assignment will contribute to its service portfolio and support continuity of government IT operations in Haryana.
