RailTel Wins Rs 900.8 Mn ERP Project from Transport Institute

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has secured a Rs 900.8 million contract from the Institute of Road Transport to implement an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The project includes the design, development, supply, implementation, operations and maintenance of the system and is set for completion by 18 October 2026.
The ERP solution will be rolled out across three key transport corporations in Tamil Nadu: Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) Ltd in Chennai, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC)-Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC)-Madurai. The project has been awarded by a domestic body and does not fall under related party transactions, according to RailTel.
This contract further solidifies RailTel’s growing presence in the digital transformation space, extending its services beyond the railway sector. In March 2025, the company had also won a Rs 251.5 million order from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), a state-run oil enterprise.
With frequent contract wins, RailTel continues to expand its footprint in the public sector's IT and digital infrastructure development initiatives.
