The redevelopment plan takes into account the current and future needs of the railways, anticipating an increase in traffic volume. It involves phased demolition and construction on the station site to create a self-sustained facility. To achieve this, the new station building will be developed on both the East and West sides of the existing station, requiring careful planning to fit them into the current master plan.
