Modernisation of Hubli Railway Workshop underway

The Rs 85 crore modernisation of Hubli Railway Workshop is going on at a brisk pace. Railway workshop built as ‘Carriage repair Workshop’ at Hubli in the year 1885 has carried out critical activities such as periodic overhauling (POH) of all types of coaches, conversion of coaches, refurbishment of coaches and manufacture of BVZI brake vans for railways; manufacture of ICF type bogies and bogie frames for Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Rail Coach Factory (RCF), BPL and other railway workshops.
