The proposal for developing a greenfield Sabarimala international airport in Kottayam district, with a budget of Rs 34.11 billion, has received a positive response from the Union Environment Ministry panel. They recommended the grant of Standard Terms of Reference for airports. It was the Expert Appraisal Committee of ministry that made this recommendation during their meeting in last month. Centre approves improving coal handling at two berths at the MPA

The construction of Noida International Airport, also known as Jewar airport, was in its final stages, and passenger services were expected to begin in October. The airport would be linked by six roads and a rapid rail-cum-metro, in addition to pod taxis.
