Shirdi airport will get a new passenger terminal for Rs.5.27 billion. To accommodate the influx of devotees during the festivities, the pilgrimage site will have increased passenger handling capacity. A fund of Rs.7.34 billion will be made available for the acquisition of land for the airport at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (previously known as Aurangabad). Plans for the expansion of Nagpur International Airport and the construction of a new international airport at Purandar are also in the works.
