Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, announced a number of National Highway (NH) projects worth Rs 440 billion to improve border security and connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh. These projects will provide a robust network of roads in the state, ushering in unprecedented economic prosperity. These include a 1,465-km-long two-lane Frontier Highway (Rs. 273.49 billion); a 1,048-km-long inter-connectivity corridor (Rs. 157.20 billion); and a 61-km-long two-lane Brahmakund (Parshuramkund) to Chowkham highway (Rs. 9.15 billion). NHAI secures 164 insurance bonds for road projects

The National Highways Authority of India, as stated by the ministry of road transport and highways, announced that it had received 164 insurance surety bonds (ISB) so far. These bonds comprised 20 for performance security and 144 for bid securities.
