RAPIDX trains achieved a remarkable 160 kmph during high-speed tests on the Sahibabad to Duhai depot route, a pivotal step for the upcoming Delhi- Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor project. These trials by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) mimic operations and run between 6 am to 11 pm from the Duhai depot. The 17 km priority section, with five stations, readies for a seamless launch. Public access to the 82-km corridor, enabling a 60-minute Delhi-Meerut commute with frequent trains, is set for 2025.
