Apollo Micro Systems opens high-tech defence facility in Hyderabad

Apollo Micro Systems, a prominent player in the Indian Defence sector specialising in electronic manufacturing, hardware design, weapon integration, and platform integration, has announced plans to establish an advanced defence equipment manufacturing facility in Hardware Park, Hyderabad. It is scheduled to conduct the Bhumi Pooja for the plant during the upcoming Dusshera and aims to complete the project within nine months. The company has projected an estimated total investment of approximately Rs 1.5 billion for these upcoming ventures. The new units will expand its existing infrastructure by 3,00,000 square feet, transforming into a sophisticated defence electronics and electro-mechanical manufacturing facility capable of accommodating large-scale production. These units will include a clean room dedicated to the production of Inertial Systems, RF Systems, and Space Applications. They will also feature comprehensive Environmental Test Facilities, including an EMI-EMC facility accredited by NABL Laboratories. Additionally, the facility will house an exclusive Test Facility for the testing and calibration of Navigational Systems such as INS, IMU, AHRS, and more. In an effort to advance far-reaching technologies and establish a comprehensive defence ecosystem, the company has recently established a wholly-owned subsidiary - Apollo Defence Industries. This subsidiary will focus on forming alliances and technological partnerships with various international companies to deliver cutting-edge defence solutions and contribute to the nation's defence efforts. Furthermore, the company has entered into multiple Transfer of Technology (ToT) agreements with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
