Britain to develop Pune, Indore, Amravati as smart cities

Britain will collaborate with the state governments and the municipal authorities to develop Pune in Maharashtra, Indore in Madhya Pradesh and Amravati in Andhra Pradesh into smart cities. A centre of excellence on automobile skills will be set up in Pune. Maharashtra will collaborate with Britain in areas such as cleaning of rivers and water bodies, sewage treatment and management of solid waste.
