MOVIN Boosts Express Capacity Ahead of Festive Demand

MOVIN, the logistics brand launched as a joint venture between UPS and InterGlobe Enterprises, has strengthened its Express network with additional capacity to support businesses during the festive-season surge in shipment volumes.

The company has secured commercial air capacity across high-demand domestic airport nodes and reinforced key surface corridors with additional fleet and line-haul resources. The measures are aimed at absorbing sudden increases in shipment volumes without capacity becoming a bottleneck.

Technology is also being used to optimise network capacity. Load optimisation improves utilisation across vehicles and containers, while centralised network monitoring provides early visibility into potential bottlenecks. This enables teams to make timely routing and resource-allocation decisions.

“During peak periods, businesses do not just need a logistics provider; they need guaranteed movement,” said Dilip Sharma, Chief Operating Officer, MOVIN Express. “While overall operational preparedness sets the baseline, cargo capacity is the real test when consumer demand surges. We have engineered our Express network to be completely elastic. By securing dedicated air capacity, dynamically moving surface resources to high velocity corridors, and utilizing intelligent load optimization, we ensure that cargo capacity remains an enabler for our customers, never a bottleneck.”

MOVIN offers day-definite express surface and time-critical air express services for shipments including electronics, apparel, consumer durables and sensitive healthcare supplies. Its strategy combines scalable air capacity, flexible fleet allocation and multimodal transit options to provide businesses with additional movement capacity during the busiest quarter of the year.
