Posco selects Gadag as site for its steel plant

Posco has selected the Gadag district as the site for its second US$7 bn steel plant in India. The state government will begin land acquisition for the 3,000 acre for this project soon. Posco had signed an initial pact with the Karnataka Government last June to set up a 6 mn tonne a year steel plant in the state.
