Surat plans to produce power from drain water

The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has plans in the pipeline to produce electricity from waste water. The corporaton has been slated to be the first civic body to set up wind mills to produce electricity. Besides, it had also installed solar energy panels atop its vital installations for energy production.
