Gujarat to make 50 green towns

The Government of Gujarat is mulling to makeover the urban infrastructure by pushing up clean and green concept for 50 towns in the state. Under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana, the state has approved Rs 2,050 crore for constructing 1.3 lakh housing for urban poor, out of which 64,000 units have been completed and 33000 are under progress.
