Ahmedabad airport privatisation may face delay

The Ahmedabad airport privatisation continues to face delays as the Madras high court vacated a stay on the privatisation process. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) is now awaiting an approval on a concessional agreement from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. It is only post this approval that the authority will be able to call for bids. Earlier in January, the AAI employees´ union had sought a stay on the privatisation process from the Madras High Court which was later vacated.
