Namma Metro´s underground tunnel section is complete, with trials taking about three months to complete. The tunnel, which is 5 km long, connects the 20 km Eastern and Western corridor. It is a part of the East-West line, which will be completed and operational by end of this year. Test runs from Cubbon Road Station to Magadi Road Station are likely to begin soon. Phase-I of Bengaluru Metro consists of 42 km including 9 km of underground section.
