OCL India

OCL India Ltd (OCL) is the flagship company of Dalmia Group of Companies, set up and operating from eastern India, incorporated in 1950-51 and earlier known as Orissa Cement Ltd. The parent company Dalmia Bharat Group made its first strategic investment in OCL through its subsidiary Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd in 2008. In FY15, Dalmia Bharat Cement increased its stake in the company from 48.4 per cent to 74.6 per cent. The company has 6.7 mtpa of installed capacity with manufacturing plants in Odisha and West Bengal. The plants serve primarily four states in Eastern India- Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand. Cement sales (sold under the brand, ´Konark´) constituted 81 per cent of the revenues, while sales from the refractory division accounted for the remaining. The company´s operating income grew by 23.6 per cent to Rs 1,891.45 crore in FY15 as against Rs 1,530.86 crore in FY14 and the bottom-line grew by 16.5 per cent to Rs 259.9 crore.
