Adani Group to foray into alumina refinery and smelter business

Adani Group is planning to mark its entry into the business of developing an alumina refinery and an aluminium smelter.

Adani Enterprises has announced that it has joined Mundra Aluminium Limited in December.

The company said that Mundra Aluminium has not commenced the work of business operations and paid-up share capital of Rs 1 lakh.

According to an official statement, Mundra Aluminium has combined with Adani for setting up an alumina refinery and an aluminium smelter.

Mundra Aluminium Limited has been incorporated in India. The company is registered with the Registrar of Companies in Gujarat and Ahmedabad.

Gautam Adani is preparing to enter new sectors. In June, Adani Enterprise incorporated Adani Cement Industries Limited to continue its business as a manufacturer, producer and processor of all types of cement.

In August, the company set up Adani Petrochemicals Limited, including petrochemical complexes, chemical units, hydrogen and chemical plants and other similar units.
