ThyssenKrupp unveils MULTI, the world's first rope-less elevator system, a first scale model launched with four cabins in loop operation. The MULTI system, with two 10 m shafts and four cabs, applies linear motor technology based on the magnetic levitation train Transrapid, enabling horizontal movement and transforming conventional elevator transportation into vertical metro systems. It increases transport capacities and efficiency while reducing the elevator footprint and peak loads from the power supply in buildings.
