Union Minister and Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president G Kishan Reddy announced that 32 out of 33 districts in the state are now connected by national highways under the Bharat Mala project. This expansion has increased the total length of national highways in Telangana from 2,500 kilometres before 2014 to 5,200 kilometres at present.Speaking at a press conference in Hyderabad, Reddy stated that the Union government has invested significantly in infrastructure to promote economic development. A new underpass connecting Dadar and Prabhadevi to Worli, part of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project (MCRP), is expected to open for public use by the end of May. The 550-metre-long and eleven-metre-wide tunnel is being constructed beneath Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road using the Austrian Tunneling Method.
