Celcius Launches Rs 500 Million Pharma Logistics Arm

Celcius Logistics, India’s leading tech-driven 3PL and cold supply chain provider, has launched Celcius+, a dedicated vertical for the seamless management of the pharmaceutical supply chain. The new arm is designed to meet the sector’s stringent demands for temperature control, compliance, and real-time visibility, ensuring safe and efficient transport of medicines, vaccines, and other sensitive products.
In its first phase, the company will invest Rs 500 million to build a dedicated pharma fleet and supporting infrastructure, aiming to generate Rs 1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR) from this vertical within 18 months. Of this, Rs 350 million will be used to deploy 100 new reefer vehicles along key pharmaceutical corridors across India, while Rs 100–150 million is earmarked for developing a robust pharma courier system for high-demand urban and semi-urban markets.
To drive this expansion, Celcius will hire 30–40 specialists in pharma logistics, operations, and compliance. Leveraging its advanced tech platform, Celcius+ will provide real-time tracking, continuous temperature monitoring, and AI-enabled route optimisation, ensuring shipments comply with the highest quality standards.
Founder and CEO Swarup Bose said: “With Celcius+, we are expanding capacity while setting new benchmarks for safety, transparency, and operational excellence in pharma logistics. Our investment marks the start of a focused journey to reduce wastage, ensure compliance, and bridge gaps in pharma distribution with technology-driven solutions.”
Celcius+ plans to partner with leading pharmaceutical companies and extend its reach to over 100 cities by the end of 2025. Its services will cover primary and secondary distribution, as well as last-mile pharma courier delivery for high-value products including vaccines, biologics, insulin, and specialty medicines.
The 24-ft reefer fleet will be equipped with advanced telematics, digital lock systems, CCTV surveillance, and 24/7 tracking via a central control tower. This infrastructure is designed to guarantee product integrity and fast response to any disruptions.
Earlier this year, Celcius Logistics raised Rs 2.5 billion in an oversubscribed Series B round to accelerate technology upgrades and network expansion. Currently operating across 600 cities, the company aims to scale to more than 1,000 cities in the coming years, with Celcius+ strengthening its presence in pharmaceutical logistics.
