NTPC, SCCL, Railway pact on coal supply

NTPC, Singareni Collieries (SCCL) and the Railways reached a tripartite on the supply of 35 lakh more tonne of coal through the merry-go-round railway line at Ramagundam in Karimnagar district. It follows the SCR and the NTPC agreeing to provide rakes, as suggested by the SCCL. SCCL supplies 90 lakh tonnes coal to the NTPC in amagundam-2 area, through sailo, which will be transported by NTPC through its own merry-go-round circular rail route. The agreement will now provide for an additional supply of 35 lakh tonne of coal, through rail wagons from Ramakrishnapur and Mandamarri to a distance of 30 km.
