SAIL to invest Rs 50 bn on Rowghat mines

SAIL plans to invest Rs 5,000 crore to develop Rowghat mines, which is a Greenfield iron-ore mining project in Chhattisgarh. The Rowghat mines, spread over 2,000 hectare, have over 500 mn tonne iron ore reserves. The project includes laying of a 91-km rail line from Dalli-Rowghat at a cost of Rs 702 crore.
