BDA cites changes to TCE for satellite city

BDA (Bhubaneswar Development Authority) has suggested some amendments in the stage IV master plan submitted by Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) for the development of a modern integrated township in Jagasara and Madanpur areas, to make it implementable. The project is proposed to come up over 1,200 acre. BDA has suggested that TCE use gas insulated substations to provide power to the integrated township, to ensure minimum use of land for accommodating transformers and substations. It also advised the developer to decentralise STPs at multiple locations, in line with internationally accepted trends.
