Agastya Energy Commissions 2.7 MW Solar Project in Aligarh

Agastya Energy has commissioned a 2.7 MW solar power project at Kazimabad in Aligarh district, Uttar Pradesh. The facility has a rated capacity of 2.7 MW and a peak capacity of 3.38 MWp, and has been developed under the Government of India’s PM-KUSUM programme.

The project is Agastya Energy’s first operational solar installation and represents a significant step in the company’s renewable energy infrastructure activities. Its commissioning provides the company with an operating reference as it continues to build capabilities in solar project development, execution and related infrastructure work.

The Kazimabad facility forms part of the wider expansion of decentralised renewable energy infrastructure supported through PM-KUSUM. The government programme is intended to promote the adoption of solar energy in the agricultural sector while supporting the development of rural energy infrastructure.

Agastya Energy’s commissioning of the project also strengthens its presence in renewable energy project execution. The company’s first operational asset gives it a completed project base in the solar segment and marks the transition from project development activity to operating infrastructure.

The development comes as India continues to focus on expanding decentralised solar capacity and strengthening domestic renewable energy infrastructure. Projects implemented through programmes such as PM-KUSUM are contributing to the broader deployment of solar generation in rural and agricultural settings, while creating additional operating references for companies active in the sector.

The Aligarh project is therefore positioned as an early milestone in Agastya Energy’s solar infrastructure journey. With the Kazimabad installation now commissioned, the company has established an operational presence in the renewable energy market and a platform for advancing its project execution capabilities.
