Aurassure Raises Rs 250 Mn Pre-Series A to Scale Climate Intelligence

Climate tech startup Aurassure has raised Rs 250 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures, with participation from Maithan Alloys Limited. The capital infusion will support the company’s global expansion and accelerate the development of its climate intelligence technologies across emerging markets.

Founded in 2022 by serial entrepreneur Akanksha Priyadarshini, Aurassure provides real-time, hyperlocal visibility into environmental risks for enterprises and governments operating in increasingly volatile climates. The company has built a vertically integrated climate intelligence stack that converts raw environmental signals into early warnings, risk indices and actionable operational insights.

The fresh funds will be deployed to strengthen Aurassure’s presence across the Global South, with a focus on Latin America, South Asia and Africa. This includes expanding its Brazilian subsidiary, building regional teams and scaling city-level deployments. The investment will also be used to enhance Aurassure’s Climate Intelligence Analytics Platform through advanced AI-driven predictive models, cloud analytics and next-generation hyperlocal sensing systems.

Aurassure operates a dense network of more than 2,000 street-level sensors powered by proprietary AI-physics fusion models. These systems deliver ultra-high-resolution intelligence on air quality, heat stress, rainfall, flooding, wind dynamics and microclimates, enabling proactive risk management and resilience planning.

Commenting on the fundraise, Akanksha Priyadarshini, Co-founder & CEO, Aurassure, said: “Enterprises today need climate intelligence that is immediate, accurate, and hyperlocal. Aurassure brings that capability to the ground by helping organizations reduce risk, protect people, and operate with confidence in an increasingly unpredictable climate.”

Over the past year, Aurassure has expanded operations to more than 200 cities in India and over 100 cities in Brazil, initiated projects in Bangladesh, and achieved 150% year-on-year revenue growth since its previous round in 2023. The company plans to scale deployments across India, Brazil, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, with a long-term goal of enabling real-time climate awareness in 1,000 cities across the Global South over the next three years.
