Aimtron, Aurassure Partner for IoT Weather Systems

Aimtron Electronics has recently entered into an OEM manufacturing engagement with Aurassure to produce new-age, IoT-enabled weather and environmental monitoring systems in India. The collaboration supports the growing demand for real-time environmental intelligence across urban, industrial and infrastructure applications.

The engagement comes as global focus on climate-risk management and data-driven planning accelerates. The global weather monitoring systems market, valued at around USD 2.1 billion in 2024, is projected to reach nearly USD 4.8 billion by 2034, driven by the rapid adoption of IoT-enabled sensor networks and hyperlocal monitoring solutions.

Under the partnership, Aimtron Electronics Limited will manufacture Aurassure’s outdoor environmental monitoring stations capable of capturing real-time data on particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), gases, temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed and wind direction. The IoT-enabled devices transmit continuous data to cloud-based platforms for monitoring, analysis and decision-making.

The need for such systems is underscored by persistent air quality challenges. The World Health Organization continues to flag air pollution as a major global health risk, while data from India’s Central Pollution Control Board shows frequent breaches of permissible air quality limits across urban and industrial clusters. This has reinforced the need for continuous, localised monitoring rather than periodic assessments.

Aurassure’s environmental intelligence platform integrates the hardware data to provide trend analysis, alerts and actionable insights for compliance monitoring, urban planning and sustainability initiatives. All products under the engagement are designed and manufactured in India, with production facilities located in Odisha. Beyond manufacturing, Aimtron Electronics also supports product design, engineering optimisation and manufacturability to ensure long-term reliability and scalability.

Commenting on the engagement, Sneh Shah, Whole Time Director of Aimtron Electronics, said the collaboration combines precision electronics, IoT connectivity and scalable design to deliver future-ready environmental monitoring systems that support sustainability across cities, industries and public infrastructure.

Akanksha Priyadarshini, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aurassure, noted that dependable and scalable hardware is critical as demand for credible environmental intelligence grows, adding that Aimtron’s manufacturing and engineering capabilities strengthen deployment across diverse operating conditions.

The partnership reflects India’s broader shift towards technology-intensive electronics manufacturing aligned with smart infrastructure, sustainability and climate resilience goals.
