CleanMax Expands In Rajasthan With Sangam India Hybrid Project

Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Limited (CleanMax) has entered a partnership with Sangam India Limited (Sangam) to decarbonise industrial operations in Rajasthan, announcing a hybrid renewable energy supply agreement for 30 MWp of solar and 20 MW of wind with two MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The agreement will be executed under an intra-state group captive arrangement and will source power from CleanMax's Bhikamkor hybrid farm, with megawatt-peak (MWp) and megawatt (MW) defined on first mention to clarify technical measures.

The supply will serve five Sangam facilities across Rajasthan and is intended to provide round-the-clock renewable power. CleanMax noted that this transaction forms part of its continued expansion in the state, where it had 525 MW of operational capacity as of 31 March 2026. The company described the project as supporting stable operations for a manufacturing-led customer base through a mix of solar, wind and storage.

CleanMax reported that it has about 5.7 GW of contracted renewable energy sale capacity and about 3.1 GW commissioned as of 31 March 2026, with more than 570 customers across its portfolio. Data centres and artificial intelligence workloads account for 42 per cent of contracted volumes, illustrating the range of energy-intensive users seeking clean energy solutions. The company positions itself as a provider of scalable renewable services to commercial and industrial customers.

Rajasthan's high solar irradiation and wind potential were cited as drivers for hybrid development, and the regulatory framework introduced by the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission in 2025 was described as enabling open access procurement and the integration of storage. By combining generation with storage, such projects are intended to deliver a more predictable supply profile across day and night cycles.

Sangam emphasised its commitment to sustainability and noted that access to hybrid renewable energy backed by storage supports its long-term decarbonisation roadmap and operational stability. CleanMax indicated that the project reinforces its role as a net-zero transition partner for energy-intensive industries seeking reliable clean power.
