Covestro Showcases Sustainable PU Solutions at PU TECH India 2025

Covestro is delighted to confirm its participation in PU TECH India 2025, one of the leading trade fairs dedicated to the polyurethane industry. Scheduled to take place from 9th to 11th April at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida (near New Delhi), the event will bring together industry leaders to explore cutting-edge advancements in polyurethane products and process technologies.

At Hall N1, Booth A18, Covestro will unveil pioneering materials and solutions that align with its vision of a circular economy. Central to this vision is the pursuit of climate neutrality. The company has set bold targets to cut Scope 3 emissions by 30% by 2035, and to achieve full climate neutrality across all scopes by 2050—covering every phase from raw material procurement and production to transportation, product usage, and end-of-life management.

“As a global leader in polyurethane raw materials and solutions, Covestro is dedicated to advancing circularity and climate neutrality. We are committed to pioneering innovative recycling technologies, transitioning to renewable energy sources, and adopting more sustainable raw materials—without compromising on the quality and performance of our products,” said Thomas Braig, Head of Elastomers at Covestro. “At PU TECH India 2025, we look forward to demonstrating how our comprehensive approach to circularity, innovation, and performance supports our customers in meeting market demands and achieving their sustainability goals and business growth.”

“Crafting Solutions For You” – A Booth with a Purpose

Covestro’s exhibit will be anchored by three thematic pillars, each spotlighting a distinct aspect of sustainable innovation:

Crafting Sustainability
This segment will showcase breakthroughs in renewable energy, innovative recycling, and alternative raw materials. A highlight is Covestro’s sustainable footwear technology—mono-material sneakers made entirely of 100% recyclable TPU, enhanced with bio-based Desmopan® CQ. These redefine performance and style while leading the charge in circular fashion.

Crafting Innovations
Covestro will present Baydur® polyurethane composite frames for photovoltaic modules, offering superior corrosion resistance and reduced carbon footprint—up to 85% lower than aluminium. Also featured is the Baypreg® STM battery cover for NEVs, achieving a 60% weight reduction versus steel, while improving insulation and corrosion resistance—clear markers of Covestro’s material innovation.

Crafting Performance
Sustainability must go hand-in-hand with performance. Covestro’s Vulkollan®-based cast polyurethane parts offer durable, cost-efficient solutions for automated logistics, railway safety, and textile manufacturing—underscoring how sustainable design can deliver uncompromising performance.

Covestro warmly invites industry professionals, partners, and stakeholders to visit Hall N1, Booth A18 at PU TECH India 2025, to experience how the company is crafting future-ready, sustainable solutions that empower industries.
