India Energy Week 2026 Inaugurates Hydrogen Zone in Goa

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri recently inaugurated the Hydrogen Zone following the inaugural ceremony of India Energy Week 2026 in Goa. Hosted by Oil India, the Hydrogen Zone showcases advanced hydrogen technologies and solutions supporting India’s transition towards a low-carbon energy future.

The dedicated zone brings together innovations across hydrogen production, storage and utilisation, offering insights into how hydrogen can decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors such as refining, fertilisers, steel and mobility. It also highlights India’s ambition to emerge as a competitive and reliable participant in the global hydrogen economy.

As one of eleven strategically curated thematic zones at India Energy Week 2026, the Hydrogen Zone serves as a focused platform for policymakers, industry leaders, investors and technology providers to engage directly with emerging solutions, business models and partnerships aligned with clean energy priorities.

The initiative reinforces India Energy Week’s role as a global platform where technology, policy and collaboration converge to advance secure, affordable and sustainable energy outcomes. India Energy Week 2026 brings together over 75,000 energy professionals, more than 700 companies and participants from over 120 countries, with thematic zones spanning hydrogen, renewables, digitalisation, biofuels, LNG, city gas distribution, petrochemicals and net-zero initiatives.
