NLC India Wins 200 MW Wind Project

NLC India Limited, a Navratna company under the Ministry of Coal, has secured a 200 MW wind power project from SJVN Limited at a tariff of Rs 3.74 per kWh. The Letter of Award was received on February 28, 2025, following a successful e-reverse auction held on January 17, 2025. The project is expected to generate 526 million units of green power annually, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. This win expands NLC India’s wind energy capacity to 301 MW and strengthens its commitment to renewable energy, with a goal of achieving 10 GW capacity by 2030. The project also supports India’s National Green Energy Policy, which targets 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, advancing the country’s clean energy transition.
