Vikram Solar Secures 289.87 MWp Order from NLC India

Vikram Solar has secured an order to supply 289.87 MWp of N-type TOPCon solar modules to NLC India, on behalf of NLC India Renewables (NIRL), for an 810 MW solar power project at RUVN Solar Park in Pugal, Bikaner, Rajasthan. NIRL is a wholly owned subsidiary of NLC India.

The modules use N-type TOPCon cell technology and are designed to provide higher energy yields and stable performance under high-irradiance and high-temperature conditions. These characteristics are considered suitable for the climatic conditions of western Rajasthan, where the Thar region receives strong solar radiation.

RUVN Solar Park is part of Rajasthan’s continuing efforts to develop its solar energy potential and expand utility-scale renewable energy capacity. The project also contributes to the state’s wider solar power development initiatives and supports India’s growing renewable energy infrastructure.

The order strengthens Vikram Solar’s position in the utility-scale solar segment, where module quality, performance reliability and timely delivery are important requirements. It also adds to the company’s order book amid rising demand for high-efficiency, domestically manufactured solar modules, supported by India’s focus on strengthening local solar manufacturing capabilities.

Vikram Solar chief executive officer Sameer Nagpal said the order represented confidence in the company’s N-type TOPCon technology and its ability to deliver modules at utility scale. He said the company was expanding its integrated manufacturing capabilities while prioritising performance certainty and supply reliability for large solar projects.

The latest contract follows Vikram Solar’s continued participation in large-scale solar developments as India expands its renewable energy capacity. The company is also working to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities to meet changing technology, performance and supply requirements from utility-scale solar developers.
