NLCIL to Set Up 450 MW Wind-solar Hybrid Power Project

NLC India (NLCIL) is expected to commence power supply from its newly awarded hybrid project within 24 months of signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The project is set to operate for a contractual period of 25 years. NLCIL also has the flexibility to establish a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the project’s implementation.

The Letter of Award (LoA) aligns with the central government’s clean energy targets and supports NLCIL’s broader objective of achieving 10 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.

The 450 MW hybrid project awarded by NTPC represents a major development in NLCIL’s renewable energy expansion and strengthens its national presence in the green energy sector. It also reflects the company’s focus on innovation and sustainability.

In addition to this, NLCIL is currently working on a 150 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project in Gujarat, awarded by SECI. With the new project, NLCIL’s total hybrid energy capacity will rise to 600 MW.
