NTPC Green Energy Declares Commercial Operation of 50 MW Solar Capacity in Rajasthan

NTPC Green Energy has declared the commercial operation of an additional 50 MW of solar capacity in Rajasthan, effective from 00:00 hours on 2 October 2026. The company disclosed the development to the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.

The capacity forms the fourth tranche of the 300 MW solar component associated with the 200 MW Renewable Energy Round-The-Clock project in Rajasthan. The project is being developed through Project Sixteen Renewable Power, a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green, which is a joint venture involving NTPC Green Energy.

With the latest declaration, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy group has increased from 11,212.51 MW to 11,262.51 MW. The addition comprises solar generation capacity and raises the group’s commercially operational renewable energy base.

The 200 MW project is part of the company’s efforts to expand its renewable energy portfolio through solar and hybrid capacity. The company has been developing projects through organic expansion and joint ventures as it builds its clean energy platform.

The commercial operation declaration was signed by Deepak C S, company secretary and compliance officer. The filing identified the new capacity as the fourth part of the solar component linked to the broader Round-The-Clock project, while the overall project capacity remains 200 MW.

The company’s disclosure is available through the stock exchange filing platforms and its corporate website. The latest commissioning adds to the group’s installed capacity in Rajasthan and supports its stated expansion of renewable generation assets across India.
