NTPC Green, SCCL Sign Pact To Jointly Develop RE Projects

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to jointly explore and develop renewable energy projects across multiple technologies. The agreement was signed in Hyderabad in the presence of N. Balram (IRS), Chairman and Managing Director of SCCL, along with senior officials from both organisations.

Under the partnership, NGEL and SCCL will identify and pursue business opportunities in solar, wind and hybrid power projects. The collaboration will also assess advanced clean energy solutions, including energy storage systems, green hydrogen and its derivatives, and green mobility initiatives.

The initiative aligns with the strategic objectives of both companies to expand clean energy capacity and support India’s broader transition towards sustainable, low-carbon power systems.
