SECI Signs Pacts To Boost India’s Clean Energy Push

Navratna central public sector undertaking Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has signed a Statement of Intent with GEAPP ServiceCo to support and accelerate India’s clean energy transition. The agreement was exchanged on December 12, 2025, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.

In a separate development, SECI has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL) and Pragati Power Corporation Limited (PPCL) to further advance India’s renewable energy journey. The MoU, signed on December 9, 2025, establishes a framework for strategic collaboration to explore and implement renewable energy projects.

IPGCL is the electricity generation company of the Government of Delhi and is responsible for operating power plants that contribute to the capital’s power supply, often in coordination with PPCL. Through these partnerships, SECI aims to strengthen institutional collaboration, accelerate renewable energy deployment and support the country’s long-term clean energy and decarbonisation goals.
