Tata Elxsi Showcases Battery Aadhaar at Industry Summit

Tata Elxsi unveiled its Battery Aadhaar technology demonstrator powered by the MOBIUS+ platform at Battery Summit 2025. Developed in collaboration with Tata Motors, Tata AutoComp Systems, IIT Kharagpur and others, the platform aligns with India’s clean mobility goals under the UNEP-led ‘Electrifying Mobility in Cities’ initiative.

Battery Aadhaar creates secure digital identities for batteries, enabling full lifecycle traceability—from raw material sourcing to recycling. This aims to support regulatory compliance, prevent unsafe reuse, and reduce environmental risks.

Key features include Digital Product Passport creation, lifecycle mapping, public and private data access, role-based dashboards, and real-time battery analytics such as health prediction and residual life estimation. Built on blockchain, MOBIUS+ ensures transparent data flows and tamper-proof audit trails.

The platform is compatible with Indian and global regulatory standards including the European Union Battery Regulation and emerging frameworks in Japan and North America. Its AI Copilot feature automates compliance checks and reporting, while modular design supports easy onboarding.

Delegates at the event experienced live demonstrations showcasing QR code-based access to real-time battery data, reinforcing Tata Elxsi’s commitment to sustainable and policy-aligned digital infrastructure.
