TrueRE Oriana Power Sells 110 MWp Portfolio to Actis

Integrated renewable energy firm TrueRE Oriana Power has sold its 110 MWp Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar portfolio to sustainable infrastructure investor Actis at an enterprise value of Rs. 5.01 bn. The transaction was announced on Wednesday.

The deal involves the transfer of stakes in two special purpose vehicles (SPVs), Truere Guj SPV and Truere Current, to Actis. It represents the first tranche of a broader agreement to divest approximately 238 MW of operational solar assets to the investor.

The transaction forms part of TrueRE Oriana Power’s capital-recycling strategy, under which mature operating assets are monetised to release funds for new projects. The company said the capital released from the sale would support expansion across solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), green fuels and other clean-energy infrastructure segments.

The asset transfer is also linked to a joint venture between TrueRE Oriana Power and Actis to co-develop 1 GW of renewable energy capacity in India. The arrangement combines TrueRE Oriana Power’s engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities with Actis’s financial resources and international infrastructure investment experience.

TrueRE Oriana Power is pursuing a growth plan focused on scaling assets, recycling capital and incorporating artificial intelligence and robotics into EPC operations. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Noida, the company manages approximately 1.5 GW of solar assets and 2.5 GWh of secured battery storage. By FY30, it aims to reach 6 GW of solar EPC capacity, 2.5 GW of solar independent power producer assets and 20 GWh of BESS capacity. The company’s sale comes as corporate renewable power procurement expands in India, increasing institutional interest in C&I projects supported by long-term power purchase agreements.

Interview with: Lalit Das, Founder & CEO, Agentra AIWhy the next phase of supply chain technology will be about AI that acts, not just advises?Supply chains no longer have a visibility problem. They have a decision-latency problem. It takes about 8.7 hours to detect a disruption and more than 40 more to understand its impact, all before anyone acts. Meanwhile, disruption costs the global economy an estimated $184 billion a year.Enterprises already own excellent systems of record. What they lack is a system of action.
