Visaka Industries will invest Rs.1.20 billion in setting up a sustainable fibre cement boards plant in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal. This will be Visaka's fifth fibre cement boards plant and the first such unit in the state. The company is expanding capacity as fibre cement boards have high demand. The new factory will have a manufacturing capacity of 72,000 m and it will be powered by an in-house solar roof. Work on the new project will start at the earliest.
