The development of SANY SCC86000TM crawler crane signals end of monopoly of foreign brands in the big-capacity crawler crane field.

SANY SCC86000TM (3,600 tonne) Crawler Crane was successfully rolled off the assembly line on May 18, 2011. The crawler crane's maximum lifting torque is more than 86,000 tonne metre, with lifting capacity of 3,600 tonne at maximum, higher than the maximum torque and capacity of any 3,200 tonne crawler crane of the world. Its development has adopted the most sophisticated design methods such as limit state design, digital prototyping and top-down design, overcoming the design challenges of non-linear structures and large deformation. This crawler crane is the pioneer in using the GB3811-2008 high-risk coefficient, recommended for lifting machines, used for nuclear industry and achieved a substantial break-through in structural design and control system. As of now, the product has applied for 30 patents in countries like Germany and USA.

Technically advanced

SANY Heavy Industry formed the world largest Sino-US R&D team comprising nearly 500 people to build the most advanced crawler crane production line of the world. The company invested more than RMB 100 million to set up the first supercomputing centre in the industry, independently developed lifting simulation software, and imported the world's most advanced processing equipment and testing devices. During the development stage, SANY Heavy Industry widely sought suggestions from foreign and domestic industrial experts and passed technological review by industrial experts. Development of the product also won support and guidance from authoritative organisations like State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation and China Nuclear Engineering Group.

Creating one record after another

SANY's strong R&D and manufacturing competence has allowed SANY to create one record after another in the domestic crawler crane industry since 2006 when SANY rolled off China's first 400 tonne crawler crane. In June 2006, SANY SCC6500 was produced. In 2008, the first Asian 1000 tonne crawler crane rolled off the production line. In 2010, SCC16000 1600 tonne crawler crane was launched and applied in the nuclear power generation industry. SANY SCC10000 and SCC16000, two models with capacity of over one thousand tonne, have been used in dome installation for nuclear power plants eight times, ending the monopoly by foreign brands in lifting key parts of nuclear power generation and islands. SCC86000TM will be mainly applied in nuclear engineering sector.

SCC86000TM is another milestone contribution made by SANY to the Chinese crawler cranes industry, and its successful launch signals the end of monopoly of foreign brands in the big-capacity crawler crane field and shows China's world-class R&D and manufacturing competence. Advent of SCC86000TM will definitely make more contribution to upgrade of Chinese crawler cranes.

As far as SANY India's operations are concerned, Sany supplies 50 tonne to 3,600 tonne capacity crawler cranes. Presently, as per customer requirement Sany India imports various cranes from Sany China and has already started production in India plant near Pune and will soon start a comprehensive state-of-the-art manufacturing unit for crawler cranes in India.

Wide network

SANY India has established five regional offices and 18 service stations, recruited expert team of more than 40 persons including 11 Chinese experts for crawler cranes. Sany has deployed several service cars equipped with testing, and repairing apparatus. Big warehouses in all the major cities have stocked spare parts of 7,000 types worth over 30 crore. For outstanding performance and prompt service Sany provides 24 hours X 7 days service and parts support to its customer in India. Under the tagline of 'swift and responsible', Sany periodically carries out value-added activities, such as free machine health checkup and technical upgradation. And, provides training to all levels of people including customer operators and site supervisors. It ensures that its machines give much more reliability.
