The statistics issued by the Department of Real Estate Studies and Research, Dubai Land Department suggests that with an eye on profitable returns, Indian nationals have invested Rs 168 billion in Dubai’s realty in the first nine months of 2018. Indian buyers have been consistently the highest foreign investors in the Emirate’s realty on the back of Dubai’s strategic location, high investment and rental yields, capital appreciation and regulations making it an attractive proposition. The numbers are expected to increase further at the Dubai Land Department’s annual Dubai Property Show in Mumbai, which will return to India for the fourth time. The exhibition, presenting an exclusive showcase of Dubai’s real estate, will be held at Bandra Kurla Complex (MMRDA Grounds) in Mumbai on December 7-9, and bring together renowned developers such as Nakheel, Falconcity of Wonders, Sobha Realty, Gemini Properties among other prominent Dubai developers. Properties on offer will range from budget to luxury apartments, to villas to beach properties, to furnished apartments and commercial properties. The exhibition aims to bring together experts from Dubai’s real estate, developers and consultants under one roof for seamless interaction with the potential Indian investors. Himanshu Gupta, General Manager, Dubai Property Show, said, “For Indian realty investors, Dubai has proved to be a home-away-from-home; courtesy of a familiar environment, close proximity to India, fantastic growth opportunities and an increasing trust in the system.” “Optimism is also very high as the real estate market gears up for a new phase of growth in the run up to Expo 2020, which will further strengthen the economic gains of realty investment in Dubai at present and in the next couple of years,” added Gupta. To educate the buyers on investing in properties in the UAE, upcoming hotspots and other financing, free seminars will be conducted by qualified professionals. Free legal services will also be available to help visitors understand legal matters related to the UAE real estate laws, rules and regulations, new purchases and tenancy laws.
