After the civic body issued the circular amending the ten-year-old price of Rs.4 mn, this charge moved into force beginning from August 1. The update has come at a time when the civic body is short on funds. There are procedures from the time a planned TP scheme is announced until the scheme is approved whenever the AMC implements a new Town Planning scheme on a newly acquired land.
