SKF has introduced Axletronic sensor solution for railway vehicles, which can be installed in axle box bearing units or axle box front covers and incorporated into new vehicles and existing rolling stock. They enable combination of sensors with mounted earth brush on one axle box. They offer complete, turnkey delivery in all inclusive kits and complete independency and redundancy of speed signal in the same axle box. It is also possible to incorporate several sensors for different electronic systems.
