Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, announced a number of National Highway (NH) projects worth Rs 440 billion to improve border security and connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh. These projects will provide a robust network of roads in the state, ushering in unprecedented economic prosperity. These include a 1,465-km-long two-lane Frontier Highway (Rs. 273.49 billion); a 1,048-km-long inter-connectivity corridor (Rs. 157.20 billion); and a 61-km-long two-lane Brahmakund (Parshuramkund) to Chowkham highway (Rs. 9.15 billion).
