VECV crosses 1 lakh annual vehicle sales milestone in FY26

VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has surpassed the 1 lakh annual sales mark in FY 2025–26, recording its highest-ever commercial vehicle sales performance. The company said it sold more than 100,000 vehicles during the year, marking a major milestone aligned with the original vision of the Volvo–Eicher joint venture.

The strong performance was supported by demand across categories. Light and Medium Duty (LMD) trucks contributed 47,789 units, accounting for 46.1 per cent of total sales. Heavy Duty (HD) trucks recorded 26,867 units (25.9 per cent), while the bus segment added 19,363 units (18.7 per cent).

VECV attributed the milestone to its application-specific product portfolio, focus on fuel efficiency and uptime, and customer-centric approach, backed by a robust manufacturing and service network. Since its formation in 2008, the Volvo–Eicher partnership has played a key role in shaping India’s commercial vehicle market by combining Volvo Group’s global technology leadership with Eicher Motors’ understanding of domestic requirements.

B. Srinivas, MD & CEO, VECV, said, “Crossing the milestone of 1,00,000 vehicles in a year is a significant achievement for VECV and reflects the trust our customers have placed in our products and solutions. This milestone also fulfils a key part of the original vision set at the inception of the Volvo–Eicher joint venture, underscoring the strength and long-term strategic direction of our partnership.”

He added, “As we move forward, we remain committed to driving the next phase of growth through innovation, sustainability, and deeper customer engagement.”

The company said it continues to support India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision through strong domestic manufacturing and an expanding export footprint. It also highlighted alignment with government-led infrastructure initiatives such as Bharatmala and clean mobility programmes like PM e-Drive.

VECV operates eight manufacturing plants in India, including an Industry 4.0-enabled facility in Bhopal and its integrated hub at Pithampur. The company is also setting up an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) plant in Ujjain. VECV’s operations are supported by over 1,250 dealership and service touchpoints, along with its connected vehicle platform, Eicher Live.
