Indian and Danish governments have unveiled the smart laboratory on clean rivers (SLCR) project. The Indian Institute of Technology - Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU), Government of Denmark and Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India, formed an alliance to advance small river management and rejuvenation. The Ministry of Jal Shakti provided collaboration with an initial funding of Rs 16.8 billion while Denmark provided an extra grant of Rs 50 million to support project development. The commitment includes creating a decision support system (DSS) for water management that will use hydrological models, scenario creation, forecasting and data analytics to analyse basin water dynamics. To facilitate well-informed decision-making the goals include creating scenarios for the effects of water harvesting and creating a thorough model of river-aquifer flow dynamics.117 smart city projects completed in Jammu, 10 under executionA total of 117 smart city projects have been completed while 10 others, including the Tawi River Front development project, are at different stages of execution. Jammu Smart City (JSCL) is a special purpose vehicle launched in August 2017 to give a new look to the city. The Tawi river front project is being developed on the lines of the Sabarmati river front in Gujarat. It aims to enhance the aesthetic value of the water body by improving natural purifying capabilities and promoting environmental and urban infrastructure sustainability. As GCC's Rs 45 billion annual revenue is spent mostly on administration and salaries, and government grants have dwindled, GCC has taken the bonds route.
