Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) launched a clean construction instruction manual to reduce dust emissions from construction activities in the city. The visual guide ‘How to Control Dust Emissions during Construction’ was launched by Shalini Agarwal, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, SMC. Shalini Agarwal, Municipal Commissioner, Surat, said, “This first-of-its kind visual guide will set a benchmark for sustainable construction in India. The manual will be simplified into do’s and don’ts pamphlets for construction engineers and workers. We would encourage CREDAI and other developer associations to take it further to their sites to implement these clean construction practices.”
