Chennai Metro Completes Tunnel from Panagal Park to Kodambakkam
After 14 months of underground excavation, CMRL’s Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) ‘Peacock’ emerged at Kodambakkam on July 23, 2025, completing a critical two-kilometre stretch of Corridor 4 under Phase II of the Chennai Metro Rail project. AP to Float Tenders for Vizag and Vijayawada Metro Projects
The Andhra Pradesh government will invite tenders for the metro rail projects in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, marking a significant step forward in enhancing urban mobility in the state.Tenders will initially be invited for 40 per cent of the total project cost, which is estimated at Rs 216.16 billion—Rs 114.98 billion for Visakhapatnam and Rs 101.18 billion for Vijayawada. Centre Approves Aqua Line Extension to Bodaki
In a significant development for urban transport in the National Capital Region (NCR), the Central government has approved the extension of Noida Metro’s Aqua Line from Depot Station to the upcoming Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH) at Bodaki.
