Liebherr debuts smallest truck-mounted concrete pump

Liebherr Group launched its smallest truck-mounted concrete city pump at World of Concrete, the THP 80-LP, designed to easily maneuver residential and urban job sites with limited space.

The company said that the 158-gallon city pump still provides the same features as its larger heavyweight truck-mounted boom pumps. Additionally, the 22,684 pounds of boomless pump, mounted on a two-axle Navistar chassis with an automatic transmission, does not need a commercial driver's license (CDL) to operate.

Director of Americas Liebherr concrete division, Guilherme Zurita, said that the new city pump would fulfil the industry's need for a reliable and flexible boomless machine for the line pump application. It has an HBC option for the remote control, wide spaces for the concrete tubes and accessories on the deck and plastic water tanks for water saving.

The Liebherr boom pumps are provided with three options for operations, allowing for safe pours even under breakdown. It includes a larger diameter than the cylinder itself, ensuring suction performance, even on extreme concrete types. Split wear plates allow maintenance quickly and easily.

The company said that the Powerbloc is unavailable for that size, Liebherr has kept the already consolidated open-loop hydraulic circuit. The pumping kit allows high-pressure application for extreme tasks.

The truck is designed to hold 15 4-inch pipes or 300 feet of 4-inch pipes. An optional rack can be customised according to the customer's needs, with additional toolboxes underneath.

Two 60-gallon tanks are on either side of the truck, and a hydraulic tank is in the centre to evenly distribute the weight. The wheel chocks and outrigger pads are easily accessible in the rear side of the machine to provide stability when pumping for longer distances and higher volumes.
